Mural in my room at Hotel Tomo. It’s kind of cool, but this hotel is a chain so it’s probably the same one in every room.
Hey everyone, Karma Shafieh (who is awesome) has a tumblr now (which is great). So everyone should follow her on tumblr and make her feel welcome.
i am a what you would probably call a “n00b”. even the word noob im sure is outdated which further proves my internet naivete. i easily relate to lolcats. today i created a tumblr and a del.icio.us…erm…profile? page? i dont even know the correct terminology!
technology has come so far since the times of my xpage and xanga. ive been too swept up with facebook to explore the more expressive possiblities! i had high hopes for flickr but unless you pay money you have a tight limit of images you can upload, whereas facebook is unlimited, so i quickly became disinterested.
tumblr, you’re my new experiment.
edit: aha! you are a tumblelog! *enlightened*!
I cooked puerto rican style rice and beans with pork and avocado on the side. It looks good, it is good.
A successful large burrito depends on an understanding of the outer limit of potential burrito volume, correct steam hydration, proper wrapping/folding technique, and assuring that excess liquid has been removed from the burrito ingredients prior to inclusion.
I love wikipedia. I am seriously reading an atricle that makes burrito making into some sort of strange yet skillful art. And I also really want a Chipotle or Mad Mex burrito right now.
Have to post this. The fact that this guy is still president made me lose a ton of faith in american politics. The fantasy semblance of living in a country ran by good people is dashed as this moron steps up and strikes out everytime.
This would be the first time a British internet company has publicly moved to share responsibility for curbing piracy. Two years of negotiations between record labels and internet service providers (ISPs) have so far failed to produce an industry-wide agreement.
INSANITY. Are these people even serious?! They’re fighting the customers, and they have no right. The BPI doesn’t subscribe to broadband, citizens do. You have got to be kidding me. It’s such a mediocre action and plot to develop in the face of actual genuine innovation. Maybe there is a better way for EVERYONE to enjoy media while still supporting it. This is not about piracy anymore, it’s about a changing market. It seems like the rest of the world is learning about alternative monetization and actually getting in groove and step with it. Whereas Virgin Media has decided to go 1999-style on something that is starting to turn from “problem” to “opportunity”.
The Muxtape is being given a chance.
It’s so simple, anyone has the time for this.
Maybe I’m just greedy, but shouldn’t we be able to download these?
Not that interesting compared to the rest of beaultiful WA, but I didn’t take a ton of pictures, so this is what I got. This is a waterfall on some mountain or something. We went to a nearby ski lodge for some retreat meetings and a meal.
I thought it was pretty funny how all that stuff except for the two lcds and the desktop came from my little YakPak. Yes that’s what I call mobile computing, I know, I’m missing the point entirely.
Going through Bar Reciepts can be kind of funny.
What’s worse? Tipping two dollars on $32.00 worth of booze or not remembering writing “Fuck this place” on the reciept?
One of my favorite parts of my day in SF was being introduced to JapanTown.
It’s array of shops and other importers had my head flooding with strong Otaku Lust. I was strong though, and only bought one vinyl toy, some japanese fashion mags, candy and a manga format sketchbook. I feel pretty happy that I didnt go nuts and come back with bags and bags of various geeky crap. This is as close to Japan as I will likely get for the forseeable future, and I’ve got to say I’m impressed.
JapanTown = Utterly fantastic town.
